WIMA International Constitution August 2000
1. Membership of WIMA is open to all women interested in any aspect of motorcycling, irrespective of age, nationality, race, sexual persuasion,religion, type of bike, or level of experience. Non-riders are eligible for membership.
2. All major decisions affecting WIMA internationally will be approved by the International Committee (IC), with each member country having one vote. In the case of a tie, the President has the casting vote. The IC consists of the Captains or their representatives.
3. WIMA International events are open to WIMA members only. Invited partners and children are welcome to accompany WIMA members as guests. WIMA members are responsible for their guests. Prospective WIMA members are also welcome to attend.
4. The name WIMA should be officially added to the name of an existing club that wishes to become the official WIMA division in a new country.
5. WIMA should be registered in each country either legally or with the major motorcycle association in that country and details lodged with the President.
6. One official International Rally (IR) per year will be organised in Europe.
(i) The venue of the annual IR in Europe is to be agreed by the International Committee (IC) at least 2 years in advance.
(ii) The IR should be held either in the last week of July or the first week of August. These dates should alternate if at all possible.
7. Other international rallies may be organised outside Europe with the approval of the IC.
8. Smaller regional events open to members from different countries may also be organised with the approval of the Captains of the countries involved. These events should be notified to the President so as to avoid clashing dates on the international calendar.
9. Each country belonging to International WIMA will pay an annual subscription, the amount to be decided each year by the IC.
10. A WIMA division unable to send a representative to meetings of the IC shall be entitled to a postal or proxy vote on any voting issues on the Agenda.
11. Changes may be made to the Constitution with 12 months' notice and with the support of 75% of the IC.
12. The WIMA International Accounts shall be audited each year at the IR by two Captains from different countries.
13. The President shall be elected for a period of three years. At the end of three years re-election is permitted on an annual basis. Only a Captain or Captain's Representative may propose a candidate for election. Only Captains and Captains' Representatives are eligible to vote for a President.
